Can dwarf hermit crabs live with fish?

Hermit crabs, specifically, are salt water… There are freshwater crabs, but they must be kept in a special tank where they can get out of water also. You should not keep crabs and fish together. The crabs will most likely eat the fish. I seriously suggest doing some research of your own before getting either. All fish and crabs each have their own specific needs. Every pet deserves these needs to be met, even fish and crabs. Unless you plan to do the research and get a proper home and equipment, then you don’t need either animal.

Hermit crabs will eat the fish. You can keep African dwarf frogs with fish, but only if the tank is shallow enough, as ADF’s are not strong swimmers at all and will need to come to the top and get some air once in a while. They’re good tankmates with non-nippy fish. Stay away from African clawed frogs as they grow too big and will injure fish with their claws if they don’t eat them first.
