Can dry rot, wet rot and woodworm cause health problems?
The main danger with all of these is with the structural integrity of the property. If the problems are left untreated you could have an accident if a board gives way, or have parts of the house collapse, so in that sense they are a health risk. Wet rot can give rise to moulds and fungal growths which like damp can release spores which irritate the respiratory sytem. Insect infestation is simply a hazard from a sanitary point of view since insects can spread infection through bites, faeces and secretions.
