Can drinking vast amounts of coffee make you lose weight?
Only in the short term. Caffeine is a diuretic (makes you pee a-lot) so you will lose some water weight. You will put the weight back on as soon as you stop the coffee a bit or equal your water intake. It can upset your stomach, causing you to lose weight temporarily by less than pleasant means (diarrhea). Lastly coffee will increase you heart rate and thus your circulation, which can lead to a minimal amount of weight loss but at a cost to your hearts health. Everything in moderation, long term use of high amounts of coffee are not good for you. Hope that helped, good luck.
