Can Dogs Catch Colds?
Dogs can get colds just like any animal. And just like other animals, they tend to get better on their own. If you don’t see any improvement soon, however, you might want to consider taking your dog to the vet, especially if the coughing doesn’t improve. Coughing can be a sign of something more serious, like a heart or lung problem. And like anything else, it depends on the age of the dog. If it’s just a puppy, it’ll take longer for it to get better, because his/her immune system is still weak. Older dogs also have trouble getting better on their own. An important thing to watch for is if your dog stops drinking. If he/she doesn’t drink anything for a day, take it to the vet right away. Hope your dog feels better soon!
