Can dog waste be tossed out with household garbage?
This is something that I’m asked all the time, and the answer is not simply “yes” or “no”. Based on my conversations with the City of Kamloops, this is what I understand to be true. It is not against the bylaw to put pet waste in with your household garbage – as long as it is a small amount, double bagged, and not offensive. This is not something that the city encourages, as it can easily become offensive and require down time if pet waste somehow ends up on the truck, equipment or the operator. If you are unsure what to do with your pet waste, please contact the City of Kamloops directly. As for K9 Poo Crew, we will dispose of all pet waste at the landfill.
