You are very unlikely to ever find a “part time” job in aerospace engineering. As a rapidly growing industry, where even small tasks can sometimes take days to perform, you are most likely to be working full time, most likely 8 hour shifts. The hours will most likely be flexible, but with a minimum necessary requirement per week. As for the studying beforehand, a mechanical engineering diploma will barely scratch the surface of aerospace engineering, and your chances of getting a job with any of the well-paying, large companies, such as General Electric, will be slim, unless you are willing to then undergo an apprenticeship as an aerospace mechanic, most likely 2-3 years on low wages, spending a day or 2 a week back in college. After a B.Tech in aerospace engineering, you will most likely find yourself highly employable, earning an average of £30’000-£40’000 per year as a aerospace mechanic (the same as after the apprenticeship). However, your chances of promotion above mechanic will b
