Can distance learners request books and other materials from the Muntz Library?
Yes! First, you need to register as a library user. Register online by using the Registration Form. You will be setup in the library’s user database and provided with a barcode ID number required to fill out the Materials Request Form. A TexShare Borrower’s Card will also be mailed. Alternatively, when you come to campus, you can get a picture ID (Patriot Power/P2) card from Student Business Services (Cashier’s Office) then come to the library to register. If you visit the library, take the time to get a quick hands-on lesson in using the online services, and visit with the staff at Interlibrary Services to discuss any of your particular needs. The Registration Form requires your nine digit student ID (P2) number which you can find on your UT Tyler billing statement. Once completed, simply click the Submit button. After you have completed a registration form you may use ILLiad to request materials. A TexShare Borrower’s Card will be mailed to your home address.
