Can disabled people have a career in animal care?

Hi Gemma I have not worked in animal care but I have worked in human care and I have Epilepsy and Asthma. They have no reason to refuse you, it is discriminatory and you are offering your services for free. I have met many volunteers during the course of my career and some are more severely disabled then you are, yet, they are still able to find work or voluntary positions – most companies make allowances for disabled staff and as long as you can walk then that simply means that they do not need to widen walk ways so that you can manoeuvre a wheel chair. Feel more confident because it is your right to want this and to achieve it.
