Can DirectSOFT be used with a project stored on a mapped drive (or network drive)?
• Do not open the project directly on the mapped/network drive by browsing there with DirectSOFT. • Instead, copy (or move) all the project files from the mapped/network drive to a local folder on your PC. • Work on the files locally until finished. • Copy (or move) all the project files from the local folder on your PC to the mapped/network drive. Observing these guidelines will prevent bizarre errors that can occur due to things like: • Someone else trying to open up the files on the mapped/network drive simultaneously while you have them open. • Your PC suddenly losing touch with the network so that DirectSOFT can’t make occasional writes to the files while you work on them.
