Can dietitians go in to facilities and teach RACF staff how to identify eating disorders?
As the dietitian is undertaking an education session to improve RACF care staff’s ability to identify eating disorders in residents this activity can be funded using Panels funds. Question: Can a Division employ a psychologist to offer a group information session for new residents and their families to discuss issues of grief and loss that may be experienced by new residents and their families? Answer: Panels funds could be used to fund a psychologist to provide information to general group sessions for residents and their families. Panels funds can not be used to fund one-on-one consultations, including targeted advice that addresses a care need identified in a resident’s care plan.
