It’s possible if there has been nerve damage, but you would likely have been experiencing other related problems before now. If you’re still anry about being diabetic or having problems with family members over it, you are under stress. I’ve had twitching for years, but I’ve only had symptoms of diabetes half as long, so there can be other causes (my doctor is not worried about it unless they become more frequent or more severe and require a nuerological workup – plus I have other family members who have themm as well) Why can’t you take your readings and meds before dinner hits the table? If it’s being prepared at home it’s pretty easy to predict when dinner will be done, and a good waitress at a restaurant can alert you when your meal is due if you ask them (be sure to let them know it’s a medication issue).
