Can deputations be made to Council?
Yes. The opportunity to present a deputation to Council Committee meetings is an option available to all members of the community. Special provisions have been provided by Council in it’s Code of Meeting Practice Section (6.8). Briefly, an unlimited number of deputations may be made to on site inspection meetings conducted by committees, but only one deputation is permitted on each item listed in the business papers for committee meetings. No deputations are permitted at Ordinary Council meetings.
