Can dependants be covered? At what cost?
• Dependants must be covered on the same benefit scale as the employee. • Dependants pay the same rate as the employee regardless of age. • Children are covered up to the age of 21 or 25 if in full time education. • Dependants may be company paid or paid for on a voluntary basis by the employee. • Any voluntary payments must be collected internally by the company and paid to CIGNA at the same frequency and type. • Voluntary dependants are not allowed on schemes with less than 10 employees.
