Yes they can and much more. Join Lone Star College-CyFair for the upcoming Deaf CAN! event set April 17. Deaf professionals, including Long Duong, Brian Kilpatrick, Poorna Kushalnagar, Jonathan Leach and Toby Welch, will recount challenges they experienced in pursuing their academic careers. Their stories will inspire audiences in “breaking boundaries” to achieve their own dreams. This event, free to students and the community, will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Recital Hall, ART 102 in the Center for the Arts building on the Barker Cypress campus at 9191 Barker Cypress. An ice cream social will follow. Sponsoring this event is Windows on the World, a program designed to facilitate and encourage a diverse offering of cultural events to enrich LSC-CyFair and the surrounding community. For event information, e-mail Jonathan.L.Leach@lonestar.edu. For information on the LSC-CyFair, go to CyFair.LoneStar.edu.
