Yes, if you’re prepared to go on The Pill – talk to your doctor, because there are two kinds of Pill; one gives you the same dosage throughout, and if you keep taking this you can postpone periods for as long as you want to, whereas the other kind gives you one formulation for the first part of the month and a different one for the rest of the month and you will have a period with that kind of pill. Your doctor will obviously want to counsel you to ensure that you don’t have any medical counter-indications, but lots of people do it – in advance of weddings, for example, or just to save the fuss and bother. I used to do it for years with my doctor’s blessing and had a period once every six months just to ensure that everything was in working order.
