Yes, DataPocket is powered via your computer USB port and does not require external power under most circumstances. This makes it extremely convenient to carry DataPocket with you for backup while you are traveling. For some computer configurations, the USB port may not be able to provide sufficient power for DataPocket to function properly. In these cases, simply plug in the extra USB power plug of the included USB cable to a second USB port on your computer (or a powered USB hub). Or, you can use a compatible external power adapter (DC 5V/2.0A) to supply more power.
