Can data be sent from more than one site for an insurance company?
Yes. The file layout allows an alpha/numeric field with a field size of 8 characters. The company transmission site identifier is established by each company internally. All data received and processed by the Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) will be read with the company’s NAIC and date of file in conjunction with the transmission site identifier.
