I compete in agility and have been taking agility classes now for 3 years, competing for 2 years. 1. All dogs can be good in agility. Now, “good in agility” isn’t the same thing as “qualify for the FCI World Team.” But the truth is that the teams that win Nationals or go to Worlds do this full time. Every dog would benefit from agility. I was at a trial this weekend and there were 3 dachshunds competing plus a bulldog. 2. You have exactly the right attitude. Yes, agility is a physical workout. But its even more of a mental workout. And it’s about teamwork. It (agility) is a great way to settle a dog down, provide focus and confidence. Two of the dogs seem to have focus issues in agility but that doesn’t mean it’s a bad sport for them, only that focus may be an issue that requires extra work
