Can Dainty® Rice be re-heated?

Yes. In fact, we often recommend preparing extra quantities of rice, so that you have some left-over for a quick meal at another time. It also comes in handy for entertaining, as you can cook the rice ahead of time and then quickly re-heat it just before serving the meal. (Cooked rice can be stored for about 7 days in the refrigerator or up to 6 months in the freezer.) To re-heat, simply add 2 tablespoons of water for each cup of cooked rice and put it over very low heat in a covered pan on the stove-top for 4-5 minutes, or reheat it in a microwave oven on HIGH for 1-3 minutes until the desired temperature and fluffiness is reached. When reheating any rice, it is important that you do not over-heat it, as this will cause it to become hard and dry.
