Can customers use their existing trash and recycling containers?
Yes, but the cost of the service will remain the same whether the customer chooses to use an existing container or the standardized containers provided by Round Rock Refuse. All customers will receive new containers. The standardized containers, which feature a hinged lid, are preferred for two reasons: • They help keep trash and recyclables inside the container, which keeps our streets clean. • They allow Round Rock Refuse to empty the containers more efficiently using mechanized “arms” on collection vehicles.
