Can credit card company put lien on my wifes real estate property?
If she is on the account and the credit card company got a judgement in a court then they can put a lien. There is a lien on my house right now because we couldn’t pay a credit card a few years ago. They filed in court and won judgement and were able to put a lien on our house. Here’s one way of looking at it. They aren’t calling and harrassing you and they haven’t sold it off to a collection company who keeps tacking on interest. With the lien you owe them the amount of the lien which is the amount you owed on the card when they got the judgement.
