Can credit card companies delay applying transactions?

0

I doubt the credit card company held back the transactions – it is more likely that the retailer did not process their payments straight away. Most large retailers run regular downloads of information to the banks in order to move money quickly but the maximum length of time allowed by the credit card companies is 6 months the same as a cheque. Personally I keep all my receipts and tick back my statement each month – keeping unapplied receipts seperate so I can match them later. Mind you the retailers have saved you 6 months worth of interest!
