Is it possible to teach people who are more logical thinkers to open up their minds and unleash their creativity? Well, judging from personal experience, I’d have to conclude the answer is a resounding; Yes! Not only that, but there are a good many research papers that have concluded the same thing. So, creativity and innovation can be taught, unfortunately it can also be untaught, and that is basically what we find happening these days in our schools. Let me explain. As we teach our children in school to memorize information and think logically to solve problems, we are curtailing their childlike mind which is actually very innovatively intuitive, and extremely creative. In one way we are brainwashing them into thinking logically rather than creatively. The answer would be to teach them both at the same time.
