Can copyrighted material be photocopied for Reserves?

0

Due to copyright restrictions, we can allow only a single copy of a journal article on file. We normally don’t accept photocopies of book chapters for reserve, but a single copy of one chapter per book is allowed in the following circumstances: · the book is on order by the Library; · the book stores have run out and the title is on back order; · the book is out of print and unavailable in our library system. If you have copyright permission from the copyright holder, we can put more copies on reserve. We must have a copy of the agreement to keep on file in the library before we will accept additional copies. For more information on “copyright in the classroom,” see the University Copyright Office web page http://www.lib.purdue.edu/uco/instruction/classroom/index.html.
