Can Converted Organics fertilizers be used near large bodies of water? Can they be used to waters edge?
Converted Organics fertilizer is a slow release fertilizer that depends on microbial activity to break it down. Due to this slow release characteristic, our fertilizers won’t leach. Converted Organics fertilizer through its manufacturing process is attracted to the ground and actually becomes one with the soil. Consequently it will not readily run off. You can apply Converted Organics fertilizer to water edge, however we do recommend that you check the weather prior to application to ensure that there are not heavy rains forecasted immediately after you intend to spread fertilizer. Our water supply is too precious to risk any further contamination.
