The fitting of the contact lens after surgery is more of a challenge with the cornea’s new shape. Since almost all patients see at least 20/40 or better, most do not feel the need to consider wearing contact lenses again. If necessary and if contact lenses were worn successfully prior to surgery, they usually can be fit after surgery.
