No it will NOT kill the baby! There’s no way. I love hot, spicy food, and even more so when I am pregnant. It will only give you heartburn which gets worse the farther along in your pregnancy you get. Also when you get to your second trimester, it will pass through your placenta and the baby will “taste” it which is great for if you are planning to breastfeed. The baby wil be used to the taste and when you breastfeed the baby won’t be bothered by it. A lot of women have the problem of being careful what they eat, mostly due to the heartburn factor, and then after the baby is born they resume eating what they did before they were pregnant and breastfeed and the baby has a hard time taking the milk so they have to change their diet. If heartburn is a problem you can take tums, or my doctor gave me a prescription for heartburn meds that are safe to take while you are pregnant and it worked great, I no longer had the heartburn problem.
