Can constant physical abuse causes regression in children behaviour?
No it is NOT ‘something everyone goes through ‘having sex when you are younger and not really knowing what is going on , and it is NOT normal, and it can and does cause a lot of problems, so the other respondant is completely off base , about that. but i dont think that is what you were asking. Yes, physical abuse can cause regression, and the ‘purpose’ of that is that it is really an inadequate and unhealthy way a person abused, may not be able to move beyond the abuse and the regression may serve to act as a way that person can then be taken care of or hopes to be taken care of instead of abused. The person would for some reason not know how else to handle the abuse.
