Can Congressman Burton help me with an issue with a private company?
As defined by U.S. Congress, Rep. Burton’s casework role is to assist constituents in their interactions with Federal agencies. Congressional offices are prohibited from interacting on any constituent’s behalf when a problem arises between private parties (e.g. mortgage company, credit card company, cable service provider) since that is a situation where one private entity is dealing with another.
