Can Coffee cause breathing difficulties?
I used to drink an immense quantity of coffee. Then, about six months ago, I just stopped it. I was afraid I was deteriorating my health with all that caffeine. Yesterday, I drank a cup of coffee for the first time in 6 months, and for about 5 minutes, after I drank it, I had a lot of breathing difficulties. I couldn’t catch my breath, my heart was going non stop. Well, I don’t know how a heart attack feels like since I never had one, but I believe that was the closest I’ve ever been to having one. My chest hurt like hell. After about 10 minutes my breathing slowed down, but I was kind of agitated the whole day. Today, I tried drinking one again. I did, and the same thing happened, so I know for sure it’s the coffee’s fault. Why is it causing this now, when in the past I used to drink a lot, and nothing happened?
