Code 2125 cannot be added to enhanced CT exams as the stated workload units encompass this activity. Workload under Code 2125 would be collected when a MRT is asked to collect a blood sample. For example, a blood sample is collected on behalf of the Phlebotomy Team or Laboratory by UPP staff of the DI department. When we used the old MIS Standards Workload Measurement System we recorded 18 workload units per exam for clerical support for all modalities except Nuclear Medicine, and 15 per patient in Nuclear Medicine. Why isn’t there anything about clerical support workload units in the new schedule.? Under the revised MIS Standards Workload Measurement System, clerical staff have been reclassified as Management and Operational Support Personnel so they would no longer collect workload. Thus you would not record the 18 units and 15 units.
