Can climbing roses climb up vinyl siding?
Probably not and I highly do not recommend trying to do so. I live with the best carpenter contractor in the business and he always suggests that plant vines should be at least 5 inches away from the exterior of your home. The best thing would be to get an arbor and firmly plant in it into the ground and allow the rose to grow on that. Plant material that does not have a good air space between your siding can lead to many types of problems, such as mold on the siding, and insect infestations getting in under the siding.
