Can CICS programs be called from within IH?

0

Yes, through the User Defined Object (UDO) facility. The IH beta documentation set does not currently describe the UDO facility (except in the Installation guide) although it is supposedly supported. These CICS programs written in COBOL, Assembler, C or PL/I can access (to a limited degree) databases not supported by IH such as CA-Datacom, Model 204. We need to get more documentation from Trinzic on this. Also, an RSP may be called from a client using the ODBC pass-thru facility.
