Can Christians Support the Death Penalty?
It seems like the death penalty is an issue that everyone has an opinion about. From the time I was about twelve years old I have had people asking me what I think about it. Is it right? Is it wrong? I personally support the death penalty, and its amazing how mean some people can be when you tell them that. They say, “Youre a Christian! How can you say it is okay to kill people? Arent you supposed to be loving?” Ive heard this question a lot, especially since I moved to California, and I think it is an example of how people can misunderstand what “loving” means. So, is it okay to support the death penalty? Much can be said on this subject, more than I have room to write, but here are the basics.
