Can Christians Be Influenced by Demons?
Even though you have been forgiven of your sins, the effects of those sins may still need to be dealt with. For example, if you have stolen something then the Holy Spirit may move in your heart to repay what you have stolen. If you have hurt people then the Holy Spirit may move in your heart to apologize and to be reconciled with these people. If your body has been damaged through drug abuse or other sinful behaviors, your body was not (necessarily) made instantly healthy the moment you became a Christian (and may never be healed in this life) and therefore your physical health may need to be dealt with. The point here is that becoming a Christian removes the penalty of our past sins but it does not necessarily remove the effects of our past sins.
