Can Chinese peoples worldwide unite to boycott Carrefour of France & other biased Western groups?
I am a third generation overseas born Australian Chinese. Although the call for boycotting Carrefour and other french products, may be a spontaneous over reaction and perhaps may appear irrational; I am genuinely disgusted with the treatment and hypocrisy by the Western media and government. Anyway, if Carrefour folds in China, I am sure there will be other companies that will be eager to seize the opportunity and hire the layed off staff. Carrefour will not set up shop with such a big presence in China if there is no profit. The charade by the French government, Parisian authorities, lack of respect as a host nation and vile diatribes by the French media are particularly appalling. Every country, particularly powerful ones, has their own historical baggage (e.g. native Americans in the US, the aboriginals in Australia, Scotland and Ireland in the UK, Corsica in France the list goes on).
