Can characters cast spells while wielding weapons?

No character class will be able to cast spells while fighting with a weapon. That would be altogether too convenient for fair gameplay. However, Clerics (and multi-classes Clerics) will be able to cast while holding a weapon; you just can’t be in combat swinging it.
