i chairperson and a CEO (chairperson executive officer) has a very similar job. when this came up im my business studies coursework i couldnt see any real difference so i wrote as it they both did the same sort of job, even if the CEO is supposed to be slightly more important. The chairperson is incharge of the board of directors, and the CEO is in charge of the chairperson and the board of directors. with the jobs being to similar id say they are the same.
