Throughout history, there has always been a link between cats, and the supernatural. Oscar is currently one of the Worlds most famous cats, who is said to predict the deaths of terminally ill patients in a hospice. But other cats also seem to hold this strange power. In Washington DC, a Demon Cat, is reputed to predict disaster when seen at the white house, and has been sighted just before the 1929 Wall Street Crash, and the assassination of John F Kennedy. Oscar is one example of a cat who seems to “know” someone’s death is imminent. In the hospice Oscar calls home, he wonders the corridors of the hospice, and is said to lay down with a patient 25 hours before their death, usually keeping some kind of vigil, until their death.
