Can Cats have strokes like humans?

Well, not exactly like humans, because we are not identical. But yes, cats can have strokes. We had a 17 year old cat who went from active [if whiny] to barely being able to move and moaning a lot in the course of a few hours. When we brought him to the vet, they said he had a stroke, and there wasn’t much we could do for him.
