Can Canopies built on grass, or only sand?
Andrew Tepper: Most terrain types are ok for canopies. Stratics: Can you expand the canopy indefinitely regardless of who’s next to you? Andrew Tepper: Yes – there is no collision detection on canopy expansion. We’ll use a similar system to dealing with this as we do now for overlapping buildings. Stratics: How do we obtain one? Is it through tech or purchase or building or some combination? Andrew Tepper: There will be a technology to research, and probably upgrades to that in the future. You build them using a variety of materials. Certain design elements are more costly than others – rare materials can be used for exotic shapes. Stratics: Can other people build within someone’s canopy space? How does ownership work? Andrew Tepper: No – ownership is like a building. Stratics: Are resources going to be redistributed in such a way as to encourage city building?
