Can candidates combine unit 10: Event Management (G729) and unit 13: Adventure Tourism (G732)?
If candidates plan and carry out an event that involves some ‘ ATA’, the criteria required for Unit 10 and in line with the guidance must be evidenced. Candidates can relate to AO4 of unit 13, also, if the event was ATA orientated they must consider that as part of the evaluation the criterion also asks for actual and expected benefits. The two units can be linked but it is expected that evidence for these units is submitted as separate units in line with the requirements. Care needs to be taken here in that candidates do not ‘overdo’ AO4 unit 13 or greatly ‘under do’ Unit 10.
