Can Canadian military resort to nationwide mobilization in response to full-scale invasion?
Yes it can…in fact, the CF is actually set-up to do exactly that, when you consider how “top-heavy” they are. However, from what I’ve heard in the past, the current National Strategy in a case like this is the put a line of men and armour in the way of the Invaders, to allow time for the various armouries and bases to be “Strategically Raided” and then for all branches to “fade into the background” and go Guerrilla. Any Citizen willing to help would be taken with them. Conquering a country the size of Canada would be dead easy for any large army (US, Russian Federation, China, India, etc). However…once they had taken it, they’d have to Hold it…and that presents a SERIOUS problem. China or India *might* be able to do it, but that would leave them vulnerable at home, and here in Canada. Also, for various reasons, there would be some … surprising … allies that would come to our defence. If it was the Americans, the Russian would help defend us (and vice versa). Also, the other C
