Can Calgary Lymphedema Rehabilitation authorize OR order your garments through Alberta Aids to Daily Living (AADL)?
No, Calgary Lymphedema Rehabilitation and staff are not employed by any Alberta regional health authority (ex: Calgary Health region), therefore, we ARE NOT allowed by be authorizers for this program. Since this clinic is NOT a CHR funded rehabilitation program, AADL will NOT allow Calgary Lymphedema Rehabilitation’s team to either authorize for compression garments we measure. Our funding is through the Alberta Cancer Board, and NOT the Calgary Health region. Our client’s who choose to pursue authorization and coverage through AADL are responsible for contacting and co-ordination with the AADL program and their authorizers.
