Caffeine could, according to some studies, make schizophrenia symptoms worse… but I highly doubt it could alone trigger schizophrenia. That seems very unlikely as there really needs to be a genetic predisopsition towards developing schizophrenia. Whether or not caffeine could trigger schizophrenia if there was a genetic predisposition is another issue… but even then, I doubt the normal person would ever consume enough caffeine to be able to trigger such a correlation.
