LEGENDS RIGID Vinyl shutters are a solid one piece shutter with no openings for insects to go thru. The Mid America Vinyl louver shutter has openings between the louvers that insects could get thru. If The Legends Rigid Vinyl shutters are installed on a flat surface where the sides of the panel are flush on the surface then it would be almost impossible for any insect to get behind a shutter panel and nest.
