Can budgies learn to talk if they are in pairs?
Budgies can learn to talk in pairs, but it is much more difficult to teach them. I was successful with more than one, only when I had Victor for a few years first and when he spoke well enough got my second budgie. Often when there are more than one they prefer to speak in bird language as they have trouble pronouncing our words. When they are by themselves they do not have an option and often learn to speak our language because they have to.
