Can Browns Trash Be Anyones Treasure?
Mike Holmgren has arrived in the former-Mistake by the Lake and done a yeoman’s job of changing the landscape. The biggest moves this week came under center as the new team president jettisoned both Brady Quinn and Derek Anderson. Taking their place is Jake Delhomme and Seneca Wallace. Kyle’s Take: There’s a lot to tackle here. We’ll start with the Browns. They are slowly, but surely trying to build something with the offense. Neither Delhomme or Wallace has a load to work with alongside them, but they can be serviceable for a year or two until Holmgren tracks down the man he wants. Heck, no matter who gets the playing time, they can’t be much worse than the federal disaster that was Quinn and Anderson in 2009. Delhomme’s decision-making might have been the worst in the NFL last season as he was picked off 18 times in just 11 games.
