Can broken bottles and jars be put in the green box?
No. For safety reasons do not put broken glass bottles and jars directly into your green box as this can cause an injury to the collection crew or pedestrians. Wrap broken glass in paper and place in your refuse bin or put the broken glass into a glass recycling bank. No other types of glass can be taken as they often melt at different temperatures during recycling.
