Yes, Big Game Bob may have been a misnomer in hindsight, however you have to recall he did win, and win big during his assistant coaching stints at Florida as a DC and, in his first head coaching job at Oklahoma he took the struggling Sooners (the ’90s were not pretty) and took them to a bowl game (L. Ole Miss, Independence Bowl.), followed by a BCS title and Cotton Bowl and Rose Bowl victories.
